Laugh On

Filed Under: Personal & Life Updates Leave a Comment

The average four year old laughs 500 times a day.

The average adult?

Fifteen.

How sad is that!?

Three blogs sure to bring me laughter:

  • Not That You Asked…
  • Tied Together With A Smile
  • Mighty Maggie

Three television shows that constantly make me crack up:

  • Friends
  • The Office (and it’s finally back on!)
  • Flight of the Conchords – if you have never seen it, big mistake.

Three people sure to bring a smile to my face:

  • Mike (Husby) – he laughs at me even when I’m mad, so it’s pretty hard to take myself too seriously
  • Dad – he cracks everyone up, helping to keep tensions low in a family with 4 daughters
  • Cousin Megan – “I walked up to this guy at the family reunion, thought he was an uncle or something. But then I saw he had a beer in his hand and was like, ‘Nope, not a relative!'” Love the way she constantly makes fun of our family

And finally, a scene from work this week that made laugh A LOT:

(kids playing dodge ball)
A is a 4th grade girl, tiny and spunky.
Q is also in 4th grade, a boy, new and sooo charming.

Q: Hey little girl, what’s your name?
A: (hand on hips, other hand waving, copious amounts of attitude) First of all, I don’t have a name. Second of all, I wouldn’t tell you even if I did.

Q walks away, defeated.
A continues to dominate at dodge ball.

Love that girl.

Laugh on, it’s good for you!

I think that we should all take some advice from that little girl. I’m totally going to start kicking ass from now on. I can’t wait.
