Lots of BIG! THINGS!

Filed Under: Career & Business 28 Comments

Oh, hey. A few big things I wanted to tell you about:

Big Thing One and Two

You might notice that 1) I gave myself a face-lift (well, the blog, anyway) and 2) I AM ON WORDPRESS. (Part 2 brought to you by Lisa – I was all stubborn and going to figure this out on my own and gave up and called on her services, instead. YAY FOR LISA.) Yes, there are a few kinks we’re still working out, but mostly? I’m so excited .

Big Thing Three

I got rid of my old ads and opening up space in my sidebar for your ads. Yes. Out with the corporations and in with the indie businesses and bloggers! Hurrah! I just want to have more control over what I’m sharing with you guys and less restrictions. PLUS, several people have asked me about advertising here, so I decided to open it up.  Interested in advertising? Check out the advertising page for info and rates. As a thank you for being such amazing supporters, the FIRST 5 PEOPLE who comment on this post with a desire for ad space will get a free Size 1 Ad for the month of August. Woo!

Big Thing Four

My brand-spanking-new photography and design website is live. It’s now Little Leaf and I’m SO EXCITED to finally share it after days and days of dreaming, scheming, and designing. As my design business grew, I knew I wanted to incorporate my fledgling professional photography as well. Under Little Leaf, I am able to offer both. And, it’s flexible, so if I ever decide to drop one of the creative services, I’m not pigeonholed. It’s a more developed website, as well, with both photography and design portfolios, a testimonials page, and more. So, please, check it out!

Whew. I’m exhausted.

I love the new look, and welcome to WP :D I’ve been on just about every blogging platform there is over the years (at least, it seems that way!) – and WP is definitely my fave. Even if I can’t entirely figure it out.

Ashley, the site looks amazing! I made the switch from blogger to wordpress a few years ago, and trust me, you’ll never look back!

If the ad space hasn’t been snapped up yet, I’d love to throw my (tiny little blog’s) hat in the ring :)

I love it, Ashley! I’m still hesitant on switching to WordPress but maybe I’ll make the move sometime in the future. It does seem like you can do a lot more with it!

I think I missed out on the free ad space by one. Boohiss. (But… if not… pretty please? Me?)

    Ashley,

Wow! Nice Make-over! It sounds like a lot of people enjoy using Word Press! Can you blog more about it sometime? I would love to hear all the perks. When it comes to designing, having more control is definitely a plus! I am SO keeping you in mind for engagement pics…someday! lol ;) Congrats on the new designs and pages!

It’s so bright and sunshiny! I love it! I’m so happy for you with all of the success you’re growing through your blog and your photography. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving girl. I’m definitely going to be buying ad space from you. I’ve never done that before–it makes me strangely nervous, haha!
