A Little Sarcasm's Good for the Soul

Filed Under: Personal & Life Updates Leave a Comment

When I saw this over at Allie’s, I knew I had to do it. Someecards crack me UP. :)
The goal is to pick five cards from someecards.com that describe yourself in “amazingly unflattering ways.”

I’m so guilty of this. In general, I avoid most phone calls because I feel pretty awkward unless I know someone quite well. But if I could schedule things via email, you’d better bet I do. (When I babysat in college, I LOVED that we’d arrange it via email. Because then you avoid having to make a decision right when they call you. Ahh, freedom!)

This makes me laugh because I have some issues with this. It’s hard for me to understand why some people can be hypersensitive to animals, yet not want to advocate for people or for the animals they eat. The inconsistency troubles me, but I’ll get off my soapbox now. What a perfect time to talk about…

Confession: I complain WAY. TOO. MUCH. It’s true. In fact, I’ve recently embarked on a plan to quit complaining. If I don’t complain for 30 days, I’ll let myself get a real haircut from a nice salon. (Helloooo, Aveda. Goodbye, Great Clips. Uhh…until next my haircut, that is.)

I’m terrible at this. I’ve been known to check Facebook for some of my closest friends’ birthdays. TRUE STORY. Shameful, right?

I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew when it comes to books. I’ll check three out of the library, when I’ve already got one at home I started. Then I’ll recomend one that’ve only read 15 pages of. It’s an issue, really.

i may or may not be a huge complainer (just check out my blog!) but i’m definitely trying to cut back because i’m afraid it’s an unflattering quality of mine!

i also use facebook to remember b-days, so don’t worry, you’re not alone! in fact, my dad isn’t on facebook and i accidentally forgot his birthday this year! whoops!

Haha! I love this! I’m bad at remembering birthdays, too, and I’ve been told I complain a lot.

My aunt likes to send me and my cousins cards like these from someecards every once in a while for a laugh. I love them!

This was hilarious! So entertaining! Yeah, even though I’m not a veggie anymore – what you’re saying makes sense — why would someone be all about their pets but not be a veggie? Kind of a contradiction! Ack… I feel like I should become a veggie again one day. Hmmm… And oh yeah, I’m awesome at complaining! Must work on this!

Love me some of those ecards. Kathryn and I have been sending them back and forth for FOREVA. True story. Also I might have to thief this idea for my blog. Keep up the posting and whatnot, love.

That was a very creative idea! (You just know that in the last one, he’s showing her the trashiest part of the book, too.)

I’ve been known to use Facebook as a reminder about birthdays too!

I feel like I’ve been a big complainer as of late, I really need to nip that in the butt.

Ugh Ash, you are kicking me in the butt! I am SO struggling with the fact that I think my doggies are human and I love all animals, yet I am not a vegetarian. I need encouragement. I need books. I need cooking and meal prep advice! We are doing better. Hubby has cut down to 1 red meat dish a week which is HUGE for him! Help a girl on a quest out! PS I fell in love with black beans at Moe’s tonight. I always thought I hated beans. Who knew?

Oh my goodness. That first one about returning a phone call with an email is definitely me, too! I love knowing there are other people who hate the phone.

These are awesome!! I spent about an hour on their site after I saw this, laughing hysterically. I can totally relate on the complaining thing– I am right there with you girl. Thanks for brightening my day with these wonderfully sarcastic treats!
