Personal & Life Updates

I'm So Freakin' Hot, You Guys.

Filed Under: Personal & Life Updates Leave a Comment

Just a quick public service announcement before we return to our regularly scheduled blogging:

I’m a klutz.

And also, my knees are completely cursed. Seriously.

At first, I just had ITBS – basically my right knee hurt when I ran more than 1.5 miles, so I have to stretch it really well and it will still cause me a bit of pain.

That’s all well and good, but then? I had to go and get POISON IVY (from Cedar Point, apparently. How crazy is that? Stupid people giving me poison ivy!). And at first, I thought it was ingrown hairs, so I squeezed them. Um, oops, again. Apparently, that spreads the stuff. Ugh.

But that’s not all. Nope, I was going out to the garage, and fell a few feet, (you mean there are FOUR steps, not just ONE? Oh.) rendering my knees completely scraped up.

Basically, I’m some hot stuff. Watch out.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go back to wallowing in my self-pity for our continued lack of internet at home (no! blogs! wah!) and my difficulty restraining myself from itching.

Why, yes, I ruined a perfectly good painting with some sloppy PhotoShop.

My whole non-complaining crusade will have to start…uh, tomorrow, I guess.

My legs are scarred. My left knee has a HUGE round scar from a company softball game when I was up to bat, hit the ball and then mysteriously fell to my knees as if the earth had just jolted. My right knee has two new bruises: one from my desk at work that always finds a way to harass me and the other from the ottoman at our beach house. Life is cruel. Embrace your scars. :) Meghan

You have every excuse to be in the pool now–to dry out the poison ivy. And that will also keep your legs covered, right?

P.S. I’m doing the someecards meme.

That’s no good at all! I hope your knees are feeling better soon! Poison ivy is NO fun, and I absolutely hate falling down. And achy knees, too.

Dude! I somehow got poison oak all over my elbow, and now it’s jumped down to my calf. I hate having the itchies!

I don’t think I’ve ever run 1.5 miles. ever. okay, maybe in school. lol.

That complaining thing is just not to be avoided. We are women. it’s not complaining, it’s talking. I bought and read the book “A Complaint Free World” and while it made good points, it never really stuck. Good luck! ;)

Oh my gosh that’s awful. I’m glad you didn’t lose a limb though. Maybe just stay inside and hide under the covers until the Poison Ivy goes away?
