My Current Life in Seven Photos.

Filed Under: Personal & Life Updates 15 Comments

I spent most of the past week right here:

Watching lots of this:

My two favorite boys worked together…

To pick out and put together my first home desk:

NEW DESK (!)

Which led to rearranging the room and creating a play area for Gabe:

I was taken care of by this cutie:

And we celebrated this cutie’s half birthday:Sweet boy. :)

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I’m recovering from a nasty case of bronchitis.  I won’t bore you with the details, I’ll just say this: it wasn’t fun, I missed tons of work, and I coughed so much I got got kicked out of bed. Missing an entire week of both work and design work has left me floundering to keep my head above water. PLUS, our internet isn’t working and the there is a Work Thing that is awful and I can’t talk about it other than this sentence.

And then I start to feel guilty for being stressed out, because did you know people have Real Problems?  Like, bigger than launching six websites in one month without internet?

Poor Mike. Lent was supposed to be all about him and instead, he’s spent it taking care of me and listening to me go shrill about all! the! stress! (And the half marathon I’m supposed to be training for but I’m supposed to run right now ahhh!)

Luckily, I’m enormously blessed with two of the best little and big fellas on this planet. I mean, look at this face again:

(Also, Sybil is the best ever ever and I want to be her BFF. Downton Abbey: Watch it.)

Being sick is awful, but at least you have wonderful caretakers. :)

I love Downton Abbey, so sad to wait until next year for more!

Hang in there! Glad you’re at least starting to be on the mend! And good luck with the no internet thing – it might be a first world problem but it can definitely be an issue!

What a beautiful loving family! You’re so fortunate. Be well that’s nasty stuff (I know I don’t have to tell you that). Your desk chair is gorgeous!

I’m glad you’re feeling better. I was sick the week after christmas until the third week of january with what I think was bronchitis. it started off with a sore throat then grew into a hacking cough that then caused me to lose my voice for about five days. I was a HOT MESS. I finally gave up trying to schedule an appt with my doctor and surrendered to urgent care because the cough had caused me to pull muscles on both sides of my lungs which was so painful.

I’m five episodes into Downton and I sort of adore it. The Dowager is amazing, love it. Also I feel like so much more is going to happen, every episode is like 10 different revelations and subplots, haha.

Also! Hope you’re feeling better and thank goodness for two super helpful and adorable onhand nurses :)

Ohhh GABE!! That sweet face!! I giggled to myself when I saw you made a Gabe meme, I LOVE IT! I hope you’re feeling better now, bronchitis is stupid, ugly and mean! Malachi gets it fairly easily during the winter b/c of his dumb asthma and while I’ve never had it myself it’s torturous having to watch him suffer through it! I’m so glad you had your 2 cute nurses on hand to take care of you <3

Isn’t the healthy person supposed to let the sick person rest in bed? And isn’t the healthy person supposed to take cover somewhere else if the healthy person can’t handle the hacking? Just saying. Then again, maybe moving to the couch was your small way of being nice to the healthy person during a month that’s supposed to be all about him. hahaha. I kid…

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick. It sucks when life is put on hold because you’re down for the count. Having an amazing husband and one of the world’s most adorable sons makes getting better easy on the eyes and the heart. Take care of you.

So sorry you were sick – bronchitis is super rough. I used to get it every year, & it’s just miserable! Lucky lady, that you have such wonderful guys to take care of you.

Sorry to hear you have been under the weather and with no internet at that!

I am sure you are super excited to start using your new desk! I desperately need to trade in my tiny one I have had sine I was in my teens!

You some very loving intentions with your lent mission, but sometimes life happens when we are busy making other plans! :)

God must have said, “Hey busy lady, you need some R&R!

    Get well soon!

That sounds awful! Hope you recover very quickly, and all the work stuff gets resolved.

P.S. A bit random, but your white and black desk chair is awesome!
